This lovely little piece is darling Elephant Still bank. Manufactured by A. C. Williams in the 1930's, the piece is described on page 83 in the Penny Bank Book by Andy and Susan Moore. They identify it as a cast iron piece, manufactured around 1934 by American Company A. C. Williams.
They give it a "B" rating, meaning that it is beginning to become scarce and they set its' value at between $100 and $150.
This piece retains a lot of its original paint. It has a howdah on its back and is 3 1/2 inches long from the far point of the trunk and tail. It is 2 1/2 inches tall. Please refer to pictures for full perspective.
