This is photo from my collection, Ghost Towns of the American West. It is offered as an acrylic print which truly gives the picture a depth that current photo prints do not convey. Bodie is now a preserved Ghost town in the northern California area. California recognized the important role this town played in its history and chose to purchase the town and preserve it in its current state of decay and open it as a Park for people to visit and learn from. I am starting a series of photos of Ghost towns across the American West that contributed to the history of the States in which they are located. I call this series, Preserving Precious Pieces of America's Past, Ghost Towns of the American West.
