Childs Moccasins, Fully Beaded, Native American Made, Plains Indian
$750.00
Collectors of beautiful, vintage, Hand Made, Native American Art Work. Take a look at this wonderful set of children's moccasins. Originally donated to a sale for charity by the Santa Fe Art Brokers, "Windsor Betts Gallery".
The origins of these beautiful moccasins are attributed to the Plains Indians of the American West. The identifier "Plains Nations" include many tribes, such as the Arapaho, Blackfoot, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Lakota, and Apache. My best guess on the origins of this piece would be Lakota or Cheyenne, but that is at best a guess. This pair of moccasins is crafted in a beautiful geometric pattern that fully covers the top of the moccasins. The glass trade seed beads are in colors of chalk white, deep blue, sky blue, red, orange and bronze. The moccasins are crafted using brain tanned deer hide. The moccasins were used as evidenced by the wear on the soles, the deer hide is dry consistent with probable age of this piece. The beaded artwork is in excellent condition and all seams remain solid. Please refer to photos for full perspective. These are child size moccasins and measure approx. 2 inches tall and are approx. 2 1/4 inches wide at the widest point and are approx. 5 1/2 inches long.
Please note: Though the exact age of these moccasins is unknown they display evidence of age, they are sold as a collector's piece only. They are not intended to be worn or used for a purpose other than as a display piece,
