Collectible Green Bottles, one a Poison Bottle, one Apothecary Bottle, Set of Two

$45.00
This is a lot of 2 (two) collectible green bottles.
One is an emerald green glass Antrol Ant Killer poison bottle with its original metal lid. Embossed on one side is "ANTROL ANT KILLER, BOYLE -MIDWAY INC., LOS ANGELES AND GRANFORD N.J., Lay on this side". It has a raised pattern on two sides of the bottle, perhaps intended to represent grass. The screw cap is removable, a bit rusted and the writing on the face of the cap is not readable due to paint loss and scratches. The little bottle is in very good condition with no chips cracks or repairs. The raised "23" on the base dates this bottle to the 1950's and the condition suggests its value is in the $40 range. It stands approx. 2 3/4 inches tall, the widest point is approx. 1 3/8 inches. The color is a deep emerald green. You can see a few bubbles in the glass and a very small amount of haze on the inside.
The second little bottle is a nice emerald green with "duraglass" embossed around the base. On the base is embossed the number 23, 1 oz and 5A, identifying this bottle as a medicinal bottle (apothecary) also from the 1950's. The cap screws off and back on easily, it is made of tin and has soil and dents appropriate for its age and use. The glass bottle is in good condition with no chip's cracks or repairs. There is some haze on the inside of the bottle again appropriate for age and use. It stands approx. 2 7/8 inches tall, it is rounded shoulder, square shaped bottle, approx. 1 1/4 inches square. Please carefully review all photos for full perspective.
