$100.00
Collectors of Vintage Farming tools, take a look at this nice Egg Scale.
Identified by a red, printed metal label affixed to the base, this scale was produced by the James Manufacturing Co of Los Angeles. Named the Reliable Egg Scale, this product represented a third-generation scale produced by the Reliable Egg Scale Co. James Manufacturing purchased that company in 1949. This scale likely dates from that time period. The beam is pot metal. The scale was designed to grade a variety of sizes, using a combination of a flip weight on the beam and loose weights that hung on a notch in the beam or sat on the egg holder. (These additional weights are missing from this piece). Instructions could be stored inside the base, those original instructions remain in the base of this scale. This would be a wonderful accent piece for any farmhouse decor or simply a nice addition to a collection of antique/vintage farming tools.
The scale measures approx. 12 1/2 inches long, it is approx. 2 7/8 inches wide and stands approx. 3 1/8 inches tall at the tallest point. The hang weights and cup weights are missing. Please refer to photos for full perspective.

I searched the internet for sources for replacement weights, I could not find anything. This scale could be used again, but only if those weights could be located.
