Lionel O Gauge, Custom Model 6511-2 Flat Car carrying two ERTL 1/43 Die Cast Replicas of the “Case-o-matic drive” Diesel tractor.

Lionel introduced the 6511-2 model flat car in 1953, it was the first of this type of car that Lionel made, 1953 is also the year that Case introduced their Case-o-matic tractors. The customization of this nice flat car is fully period appropriate for both the car and its cargo.

The car is in very good condition, the trucks turn freely, the couplers work. There is no apparent chipping, cracking or parts loss to the car or its cargo. The tractors have some accumulated dirt, appropriate for age and use, which could be cleaned off if desired. I have attempted to show the condition of the car and the tractors in the photos, please refer to those for full perspective.

The flat car is approx. 11 1/2 inches long from the end of coupler to the end of the other coupler. It stands approx. 3 3/4 inches tall from the base of the wheels to the top of the black smokestack on the tractors, it is approx. 2 1/2 inches wide1/4 inches wide and 2 1/8 inches tall. The die cast tractors are both approx. 3 ¾ inches long and 1 1/8 inches wide. They have rubber tires and plastic stacks on die cast bodies.
