This 19th century English Victorian Staffordshire piece originated in England. Featuring an eye catching, multi-colored, hand-painted, highly detailed design, on bisque porcelain, this piece would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
The piece measures approx. 5 1/2 inches long and approx. 4 1/4 inches wide. It stands approx. 5 3/4 inches from the base to the peak of the hen's tail. The base of the basket weave "nest" is is stamped with the number 220 18. The piece is in very good condition for its age, I do not see or feel any chips, crack or repairs. In the photos it appears the hens crown is has paint loss, there is no loss, it was/is painted this way. Please refer to photos for full perspective.
