Nesting Hen, 19th Century, Staffordshire, Porcelain,
$235.00
Collectors of antique Staffordshire porcelain, take a look at this lovely nesting hen.
This 19th century English Victorian Staffordshire piece originated in England. Featuring a eye catching, multi-colored, hand-decorated enamel design, this piece would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
The piece measures approx. 7 1/8 inches long and approx. 6 inches wide. It stands approx. 5 1/4 inches from the base to the peak of the hen's crown. The base of the basket weave "nest" is approx. 4 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. The piece is in very good condition for its age, I do not see or feel any chips, crack or repairs. There is some paint loss to the hen's beak, appropriate for age and use. Please refer to photos for full perspective.
