Quart Sized Milk Bottle, Painted Label: "Friends Dairy Farm", with Period Paper Seal
$40.00
Lovers of vintage farmhouse collectibles, take a look at this very nice milk bottle. This dairy dates from 1929, it closed its doors in the 1980's. This particular bottle likely dates from the 1950-early 1960-time frame. A period when fresh milk was often delivered to individuals' homes.
The bottle stands approx. 9 5/8 inches tall, approx. 3 5/8 inches wide, the base is approx. 3 3/4 inches in diameter, the lip is approx. 2 1/8 inches outer diameter. The paint is crisp with no losses. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. It retains a period paper label which may be original and is in very good condition. The bottle is filled with small, white foam balls, intended make it resemble what it would have looked like filled with milk. I chose to leave it that way, not wanting to risk damaging the paper seal. This would be a great addition to any collection or accent piece for Farmhouse or Country decor. Please refer to photos for full perspective.
