Collectors of Antique Skookum Dolls, take a look at this unique piece.

Based on composition, I believe this doll dates from some time in the 1940's. The doll is in good condition, the blankets show little sign of wear. The edge stitching by the face has come loose, but there are no holes or patches. The doll is bundled as an infant would have been and the blanket is wrapped with what appears to be carefully preserved reed material. The dolls face is a bit dirty, but the paint is unchipped and painted facial features remain clear, with the eyes focused left. The hair is intact with no evidence of loss. A bent wood piece loops over the head giving the doll the impression of being on a papoose board. The doll displays nicely. Please refer to photos for full perspective.

Measured from the foot of the bundled blanket to the peak of the bent wood, the doll is approx. 13 inches long. Across the shoulder the doll is approx. 4 3/4 inches wide, depth is approx. 2 1/4 inches.
