Vintage, Imperial Glass, Iridescent, Amethyst Hobstar and Arches Pattern, Compote, Makers Mark on Base

$55.00
This lovely compote was manufactured by the Imperial Glass Company sometime between 1951 and 1972. The manufacturer is documented by the makers mark stamped in the center of the design on the base. Imperial glass company used this mark between 1951 and 1972.

The color is an eye-catching, iridescent amethyst. It features a smooth inside surface, stem and face of the base. The outer surface of the bowl and underside of the base are heavily decorated with a pattern known as, "Hobstars and Arch".

The compote stands approx. 4 1/2 inches tall measured from the base to the peak of the fluted rim. The rim is approx. 5 1/2 inches in diameter, the base approx. 3 1/8 inches in diameter. Running my fingers carefully around the rim, I feel no chips or flecks. Running my fingers around the base, there is one very small area of roughness that could be a tiny fleck. There is no other evidence of chips, cracks or repairs. Please carefully review photos for full perspective.
